Bouyant cables can be used in a variety of underwater applications including ROV tethers, towed scan systems and submarine applications.
Cables are manufactured with an expanded polyurethane foam sheath allowing the cable to “float” on or in the water and can be designed for:
• Lightweight Bouyancy
• Neutral Bouyancy
• Positive Bouyancy
The buoyancy is calculated based on the medium in which the cable is to be submersed such as seawater or freshwater to produce a negative weight in the medium.
